Goodwinlec was an Anglo-Saxon farm build along the River Dee north of Deebury, protected by a few soldiers. In the 9th century, it was raided multiple times by Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan, Vagn and their raiding crew on her longship.[1]
