George Monro (1700 – 3 November 1757) was a Colonel in the British Army during the Seven Years' War, and a member of the Colonial Rite of the Templar Order.
He was one of the men who rescued Shay Cormac after he had betrayed the Assassin Brotherhood and been taken to the home of Barry and Cassidy Finnegan. After Shay managed to oust an Assassin-allied gang from their headquarters in New York City, Monro recognized Shay's promise in the Order and was convinced he would excel above all others, so much so that he even told the Grand Master Haytham Kenway such.
