Garm, or Garmr, was a wolf in Norse mythology.
Mythology
Garm was the guardian of the gate to Helheim.[1]
Biography
A letter to Tyr from Freyja mentions his wolf Garm getting loose in her garden, eating some unique plants that weren't available elsewhere, and partially destroying the garden in the process. She threatened to kill the wolf if she found it anywhere near the garden again.[2]
