Galan, Son of Mordegal (died 876) was a Pictish chieftain active during the Viking expansion.
Biography
Galan was alongside his men in Stenwege Camp in 876. After Vikings Eivor Varinsdottir and Faravid discovered his orders in the Wiccan's Cave, they moved to engage Galan's forces at Stenwege.
After they breached his camp, Galan fought with Eivor though became incapacitated by the shieldmaiden. When Galan was brought in for questioning, Faravid plunged his knife into his neck, killing him.[1]
