Follow The Money is a memory in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.
Desription
Ezio gathers the 3,000 florins and hands them over to Egidio Troche to pay off his debt. Ezio reaches the place where Egidio meets the Banker's men, and tails them to the Pantheon. As Egidio's money is taken into the Pantheon, Ezio enters the building through the roof, assassinating the guard that took the money and changing into his clothes. Coming back outside of the Pantheon dressed as the guard, Ezio orders the Banker's men not to kill Egidio and then prepares to follow the other guards to the Banker.
Dialogue
- Egidio: I cannot believe you would just do this.
- Ezio: There is a condition.
- Egidio: I knew it.
- Ezio: Keep an eye on the politics of the city. I want you to report back to Maria at the Rosa in Fiore about targets who are helping the Borgia.
- Egidio: And what? You'll make them disappear? The pezzo di merda (piece of shit) may hate me, but he's still family. Va bene (okay), we go.
- Ezio: I will follow you to the Banker.
Ezio meets Egidio Troche at the first meeting spot, where he eavesdrops on the conversation.
- Guard: Egidio. It seems you are ready to die like a gentleman.
- Egidio: I have the money.
- Guard: Oh. That's different, then. The Banker will be pleased. You came alone?
- Egidio: Do you see anyone else here?
- Guard: Follow me, furbacchione (wise-ass).
They begin to travel to the second meeting place. Ezio follows them, unnoticed.
- Egidio: Have you heard anything about my brother, Francesco?
- Guard: Cesare is dealing with him.
- Egidio: I hope he is alright. So, what are you going to do with my money?
- Guard: The Banker likes to treat his friends well.
- Egidio: (sarcastically) How generous he is.
- Guard: What did you say?
- Egidio: Nothing.
Ezio follows Egidio and the guards carrying the money chest to the Pantheon. Egidio and the guards go inside.
- Guard: Egidio brought the money.
- Luigi: Well, well. The Banker has a special meeting planned. I will be delivering your payment. Give it here. (Egidio reluctantly hands the money chest over.)
- Luigi: Hold him until I get back!
- Ezio: (to himself) I better not lose sight of the money.
Ezio proceeds to search for a way inside. The conversation between Egidio and the guards continues.
- Egidio: Why not release me? I have paid.
- Guard: He is counting the money. Until it is counted you cannot leave.
Ezio accesses the inside of the Pantheon via the opening in the roof.
- Luigi: Now to kill that Senator.
Ezio quickly climbs down and kills Luigi as he counts the money. He then changes into the guard's armor.
- Guard 1: Everything going well in there?
- Guard 2: We have to go Luigi, or we'll be late!
Ezio emerges from the Pantheon, dressed as Luigi.
- Guard 1: The count is complete?
Good, now kill him.
The guards begin to advance on Egidio.
- Ezio: No.
- Guard 1: Lucky you. Luigi says he gets to live.
Egidio flees from the Pantheon.
- Guard 1: (to Ezio) Lead the way.
Outcome
Ezio disguises himself as Luigi and spares Egidio's life. He continues to deliver the money with the other guards.
