Florence (Firenze in Italian) will be a location in Assassin's Creed II.

It is the home of the main character in Assassin's Creed II: Ezio. The game will begin in this city (for the memory world). The city has been first revealed (to journalists) during the GamesCom 2009 in Cologne (Germany).

History

Florence has been an important city of the Italian Renaissance. The city was ruled by the Medicis for several years during the 15th Century. Many famous figures of the Renaissance lived in this city like Leonardo Da Vinci or Niccolò Machiavelli.
