With both sides losing warriors, Eivor and her allies made it through to the entrance of the [[Île de la Cité]]. Behind the entrance's gates, Ebels, alongside Count [[Odo of France]] and Gozlin, awaited the Vikings. Odo left Gozlin and Ebels to face the incoming opposition. Both sides halted as Gozlin prayed and stated aloud that their God was on their side for victory. As Sigfred replied back with his own saying, Ebels signaled Gozlin to leave as he guarded the gates with his soldiers. Sigfred gave Eivor a nod as Eivor fought against Ebels to enter.
