You Don't need to activate the lever to see the octopus and you dont have to look down into the water either, just stand a few steps to the left of the lever on the edge of the water and wait for a minute or so and the cutscene will play for the octopus to swim by, as for the tentical i think u may have to pull the lever because i couldnt get that cutscene to play until i pulled the lever and did the whole chamber, then at the end when i swung off the last bar/switch thing, and landed on the platform where u start the tentical flew out of the water and scared the S**t out of me. | |||
