The Eagle Helmet

The Eagle Helmet was a style of helmet inspired by the eagle, as well as Zeus, the Greek king of all Gods. Wearing this helmet announced each battle fought to be in honor of the god.

During the Peloponnesian War, this helmet was most notably worn by Hyrkanos, a mercenary hired by the Athenian army in Megaris.[1]
