I wanted to ask you something. Which is... what's your name? This article title is conjecture. Although the article subject is canon, no official name for it has been given. |
Domenico Auditore's father (died 1324) was a member of the Italian Brotherhood of Assassins and the father of Domenico Auditore, the founder of the House of Auditore. He was also the grandfather of Renato Auditore, great-great-grandfather of Mario and Giovanni Auditore, and great-great-great grandfather of Ezio Auditore. Through this line, he is an ancestor to Desmond and William Miles, Clay Kaczmarek.
Biography
Around the time of Domenico's early adulthood, he introduced his son to the Assassin cause, explaining that he was destined to follow in his footsteps by joining the Brotherhood. He also introduced him to fellow Assassin Dante Alighieri, who took Domenico as his apprentice before the two traveled to Spain together.[1]
In 1321, Dante was murdered by the Templars, revealing their continued existence to the Assassins. Suspecting that the Templars were after Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's Codex, Domenico's father and Marco Polo ordered Domenico to leave for Spain immediately with the Codex and his family. Following Domenico's departure, his father and Marco headed to Florence to await his return. However, the Templars caught and killed them in Venice in January 1324.[1]
Domenico would later discover their bodies and, influenced by his losses, decided to become a nobleman, taking the surname "Auditore." As an Assassin, Domenico would seek revenge against the Templars for the deaths of both his father and his wife.[1]
