Diakofti Island is a small Greek island east of the bigger Kythera Island.

During the Peloponnesian War, the island was visited by the Spartan misthios Kassandra, who purchased a map from a merchant about a treasure on the island. Kassandra discovered the chest next to a tree, only to find it empty, used as a bait by local bandits, who attacked her.[1]
