Crooked Island is an island and district that is part of the Bahamas. It is located in the Gibara region of the West Indies.
Almost the entire town is built on stilts, as was common at the time as a precaution against high tides and storm surges. The town itself is home to a harbormaster, a general store, and a tavern, named the "Crooked Island Cantina".
During the early 18th century, the island was frequently visited by pirates, one notable example being Edward Kenway, who received two assassination contracts from the coop located there.
