- Basim: Tell me what you know.
- Luca: Follow the road, cross the bridge on the right. You'll see the warehouse on your left, past the river.
- Basim: That narrows it down. Thank you.

Coin, Corruption and Tea was a virtual representation of one of Basim Ibn Ishaq's genetic memories relived through the Animus.
Basim decided to look into an old friend.
Basim headed down the street, where he found his old friend Kong, a Chinese merchant arguing with another merchant named Luca.
Kong turned and prepared to leave when Basim spoke to him.

Kong gave Basim a puzzled look.
Basim looked around in confusion, before Kong eventually dropped his pretense.

Just Kong said that, he turned back and looked at Luca, who flipped him off. Kong did the same and escorted Basim to his store across the street opposite of Luca's.
Kong looked at his crates of tea leaves.

Basim left Kong's store and headed down the street to a nearby storehouse, guarded by the Abbasid soldiers. He managed to get onto the second floor, where he found Kong's crates of tea leaves behind a shelf.
He carried the crate out of the warehouse.
He returned the crate to Kong's store.

He put it inside the store ground.
Kong showed Basim a map on the wall, which noted the trade routes, with a cross drawn on the southern road.

Basim left Kong's store, noticing Luca leaning behind a pillar near the store.
With the location given, Basim headed to the warehouse.
He sneaked into the site, eavesdropping on the guards.
In one of the buildings, he read a note on the table.
Instructions from the Harbormaster

In another building, he read another note.
The Grand Auction Advertisement
He read another of the notes, showing a list of goods, including those from Kong's.
Goods in Holding
In the same building, he found a note mentioning codenames used by the Order of the Ancients.
Sweetly Scented Letter
He concluded his investigation.

Basim made his way to the Harbor Camp where the Harbormaster was based in.
He sneaked into the site, overhearing the Harbormaster reprimanding his men.
Basim assassinated the Harbormaster and returned back to Kong's store.

He found Kong armed with a broomstick.

Basim laughed and handed Kong a note.
Kong poured a cup of tea for Basim.

Kong handed Kong a scroll with the auction invitation.

Kong left his store.
(If Of Toil and Taxes has not been completed)
Basim received an invitation to the Great Auction.
