Captain Kidd's Sawtooth Cutlass was a powerful sword used in close-quarters combat, and was the personal weapon of the infamous Captain Kidd.^[1]

The cutlass was found in an isolated ruin on Cerros, which the Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton explored during the American Revolution. He obtained the weapon after he navigated the ruins where it was kept.^[2]

Trivia

Captain Kidd's Sawtooth Cutlass has unique killing animations, similar to the Dagger of Brutus in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, and Vlad Tepes' Sword in Assassin's Creed: Revelations.^[2]
The statistics for this weapon are second only to the replica of Washington's battle sword. In this case, it is advised to use this weapon as soon as Connor acquires it, until he possesses Washington's battle sword.

-Go to the harbor master, there is a mission all the way to the south where you need to do some free running in a Mayan temple. The sawtooth blade is at the end of that mission. After you find it you can then equip it at a shop.
