Acolyte, or Acolytus, was a title used by the Hidden Ones, being below the ranks of master and mentor. Its use was attested in documents from 30 BCE, when it was recorded in the Magas Codex,[1] until the late 9th century, when it was noted in correspondence between acolyte Hytham and his mentor, Rayhan.[2]

In the province of Britannia, the Roman Hidden Ones used the Latin title of Acolytus.[3]
