The Riddle of Steel was a naginata that Yasuke obtained in 1582. That year, fellow Kakushiba ikki member Fujibayashi Naoe ventured into the Shimosato Kofun in Kii and retrieved the weapon from a treasure chest, later giving it to Yasuke.[1]
