Black Ridge

Black Ridge was a forest woodland situated in the southwestern reaches of the River Valley in New York.

The area had at one point housed members of the Iroquois tribe, as evidenced by a cave painting that could be found in one of the region's caverns. During the Seven Years' War, an encampment was set up by settlers, with the Black Ridge territory occasionally being the site of scuffles between the French and the British.
