Black Ridge is a forest woodland on the hilltop situated at the River Valley's southwestern part in New York.
A former Iroquois territory, the natives painted Black Ridge's caves with illustrations depicting the legend of the Sky Woman, which the Templar Shay Cormac sought. During the Seven Years' War, the French built a small outpost and encampment for their troops in the forest of the region.
