Lyftmere's Pond

Lyftmere's Pond was a pond south of Tonnastadir in Ledecestrescire, England.

In 873, the Vikings Eivor Varinsdottir and her brother Sigurd Styrbjornsson met with the Sons of Ragnar Ivarr and Ubba Ragnarsson by the pond after their meeting the mercenary Tonna by her estate. There, they discussed the two possible hideouts of King Burgred of Mercia based what they have uncovered from Tonna and her estate: Templebrough Fort and the town of Ledecestre.[1]
