Beer is an alcoholic beverage produced by the fermentation of cereal grains, most commonly wheat or barley.[1] It is one of the oldest types of alcohol in the world,[1] having been popular as far back as ancient Egypt.[2]

Mead and ale have been popular kinds of beer in England since at least the 9th century.[3] In 1868, the twin Assassins Evie and Jacob Frye gathered vintage beer bottles hidden throughout the city of London to later sell as antiquities.[4]
