Achille de Harlay (7 March 1536 – 23 October 1616) was the first president of the Parliament of Paris.

During the French Wars of Religion, Harlay had remained loyal to Henry IV of France. In 1601, the King announced that a triangular public square would be created and given to Harlay. The president divided the square into twelve lots in 1608, which were situated away from the traffic of the Pont Neuf bridge.
