Alan Wake has the best story-telling I've ever seen in a video game. Just because you can't keep up with the story, doesn't mean it isn't good.

And as for Emperor's Tomb, there's no comparison between it and Staff of Kings. SoK's story was much weaker, the gameplay wasn't very fun, and the graphics were only slightly better, but thats because it was made years after ET. And ET was a part of my childhood, so perhaps I'm biased for it.
