Avaldsnes

Avaldsnes is a village situated on the island of Karmøy in Rogaland, Norway.

History[edit | edit source]

In 872, Avaldsnes was taken over by Vikings from Kjotve the Cruel's Wolf Clan, one of whom, Rikiwulf, held several members of the Raven Clan captive. After escaping from her own captors, the shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir infiltrated the village, killing Rikiwulf in a standoff and freeing her crew.[1]
