I was just stating what is the actual reaction to Connor by people . I personally have nothing against Connor , I am neutral . I liked his story , though his personality as people say , is 'not interesting enough' or 'he can be a little bland sometimes' . People liked Ezio and Altair not because they  were the 'good guys' , but because we saw different sides of their personality . They seemed to be more human , and people could relate to them more. That is what was a bit off with Connor . Although he was a good guy at heart , but people would have liked to see more of his thoughts and personality , etc. He seemed to be way too straightforward

That said , anyway Edward seems to be more like Haytham than Connor. Or maybe it's the other way round.......

BTW , I never said we could control Haytham as a child.LOL Who would want to control him as a child taking tutor lessons *cough*Slate*cough* ? XD
