Yes, I remember that. But for know the only capable object with the power of interfere the physics of the world and create stuff from nothingness is the Apple of Eden. In AC2, the papal staff had the power to knock out any human being almost instantly and make the user invisible. If use in conjuction with an Apple, it had the ability to levitate objects and make illusions. While this proves some kind of dependency in the Staff, also contradicts what was shown in the comic The Fall: where the Scepter of the Tzar was capable of create illusions on its own, also it was smaller. Maybe the Isu made an update to their staves after the Papal One was created.

It's clear that Moses' staff was capable of create illusions on its own, so yeah, you are right. I thought that only the Apple was capable of do such a thing. But maybe the staff can too.

1- Yes, this is the one that would fit more in the AC universe. The only problem is that, as Lacrossedeamon says, it'd be too controversial and... not everybody understands it's a game.

2- Yes, I think that too. But since I read AC Heresy, I started to doubt of almost anything... we all thought that Joan of Arc was burned alive, but Christie Golden came and with her Disney touch saved dear Joan... giving her the chance to live with peace and love... F*#%/!NG NONSENSE!... Nevermind that. But perhaps, if Jesus was so loved by his disciples, Maria, her mother and others, perhaps a good soul saved him and died in the cross. But I don't think so.

3- As before, Joan's story is related with two POEs: the sword and the heart. We didn't know about the second one. Maybe with Jesus it's the same, because if supposition N°1 is too controversial, then Jesus was indeed resurrected (but only for 40 days). And the only POE capable of doing that... it's the Anhk. Maybe some kind of box was in the scene too hahaha.

I think that would be funny. Moses is also important for Judaism and even Islam. So if nobody says anything about him. Why would they cry for Jesus? I know, I know. It's a retorical question. I just found that... funny.
