My last two posts, in my opinion, prove that the Templars were not behind Olivier’s disappearance. Story wise it would make sense, through process of elimination, that the Assassins were behind his disappearance.

This makes it a little more plausible that the events in Watch_Dogs could have happened.

Shaun, Rebecca, and John Standish (with the help of the player) were spying on Olivier’s branch of Abstergo. So they knew about the meeting in Chicago and that he was getting closer to the Observatory.

The Assassins had to eliminate him before he got closer.

It also makes sense that the Assassins would contact Aiden for help since the Assassin Brotherhood is nearly depleted of members in the modern day.
