I don't think that's too much a stretch to have a customizable avatar  - where we choose either male or female and dress them up. But, it's up to Ubisoft to determine what they are willing to invest and what the developer believe drives the narrative forward. And yes, I agree that we should have an onscreen avatar that can interact with the other characters and not just be a silent protagonist.

I don't think that's too much a stretch to have a customizable avatar - where we choose either male or female and dress them up. But, it's up to Ubisoft to determine what they are willing to invest and what the developer believe drives the narrative forward.
