The cheats are only usable while replaying a memory.

To access a cheat, simply replay a memory then, once in that memory, press start. Go to the options menu and there will be a cheats access there. Turn the ones you want on and apply. It warns you that progress will not be saved whilst cheats are activated.

* The Cheats concept is similar to that of the [[Animus]] [[Animus Hacks|Hacks]] featured in ''[[Assassin's Creed II: Discovery]], ''as well as the Upgrades for [[Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines]]
* While activating the "Buns of Steel" cheat will protect you from all damage except for fall damage gained from jumping off a very tall building. An example would be jumping off Galata Tower or any tall building onto the streets below. The player will desynchronize when they hit the ground. It is likely that the game has a maximum height in which you can jump from without dying.

In Assassin's Creed: Revelations, several cheats can be activated after achieving 100% synchronization for all of the memories in any given sequence. They can only be used while replaying a memory and will disable progress from being recorded.
