Altaïr's missing ring finger can also be seen on the character model when this outfit is equipped.

What if this was all a construction? A masterfully crafted simulation?
This article references the Assassin's Creed series in a real-world context, is written in the present tense, or is partly written in terms of gameplay. To maintain clear perspectives, revise the relevant section(s) so that out-of-universe content is in a "Behind the scenes" and the body adopts an in-universe past tense.

In Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, several outfits are available to those who complete certain challenges. Once an outfit is unlocked and equipped, it will alter Ezio Auditore's appearance. However, unlike armor, most of these costumes do not affect any other gameplay elements.

Outfits can be unlocked through a variety of methods, which are enumerated below.

Capes[edit | edit source]

Plain Cape[edit | edit source]

The Plain Cape is available at the beginning of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and is completely aesthetical; it has no effect on notoriety, and is the only cape that can be dyed.

Auditore Cape[edit | edit source]

The Auditore Cape is unlocked by completely rebuilding the city of Rome. Originally handcrafted by Maria Auditore in her mourning of her son Petruccio, this cape allows Ezio to show his pride for the Auditore family. It was lost during the Siege of Monteriggioni and given to Rodrigo Borgia's youngest son Jofré as a war gift. Ezio reacquires the cape after rebuilding Rome to 100% when Jofré's chamberlain sent it to the Assassins as a gift for rebuilding the city. It also makes Ezio's notoriety stay at zero while the cape is worn and resets to its original level when removed. This cape cannot be dyed.

Borgia Cape[edit | edit source]

The House of Borgia Cape is unlocked by removing all 101 Borgia flags from Rome. Functionally identical to the Auditore cape, notoriety stays at zero while the cape is worn and resets to its original level once removed.

Medici Cape[edit | edit source]

The House of Medici Cape is unlocked to wear after players sync their game to Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy, once they complete the Auditore mnemonic set. This cape does not affect notoriety and cannot be dyed. In the remastered version, the cape can be unlocked via Ubisoft Club, alongside some extra weapons for Assassins Creed II. The cape is also one of the five artifacts which Desmond can find in modern-day Monteriggioni. Like all the other artifacts, however, it cannot be equipped or used in any way.

Venetian Cape[edit | edit source]

Along with the Medici Cape, the Venetian Cape is also unlocked to wear after players sync their game to Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy, once they complete the Auditore Mnemonic set. This cape does not affect notoriety and cannot be dyed. Like the Medici cape, it can be unlocked via Uplay alongside some more weapons for ACII.

General appearance[edit | edit source]

Armor of Altaïr[edit | edit source]

Main article: Armor of Altaïr

The Armor of Altaïr can be unlocked by purchasing it on uPlay for 20 Uplay Units. Being the robes of the Mentor Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, the Armor of Altaïr was worn by Ezio after completing all of the Assassin's Tombs in Assassin's Creed II. In Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, it is worn in the last repressed Cristina memory and in the beginning of the game until it is lost in the Siege of Monteriggioni. It does not change the defense stats of Ezio's equipped armor, as it is only a cosmetic item.

Altaïr's robes[edit | edit source]

Altaïr's robes can be unlocked by purchasing it on Uplay for 20 uPlay Units.

Equipping Altaïr's robes accesses Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's skin from the Animus database, though it will not affect Ezio's current equipment, armor settings or the abilities of the cape he was wearing previously. Rather than loading his clothing, the outfit actually loads the model of Altaïr, and it is made visible through the missing beard, and the color of his eyes, which are lighter than Ezio's. Altaïr's missing ring finger can also be seen on the character model when this outfit is equipped.

Florentine Noble Attire[edit | edit source]

Ezio's florentine noble attire can be unlocked by purchasing it on Uplay for 20 Uplay Units. The Florentine Noble attire was worn by Ezio Auditore in Florence during the beginning of Assassin's Creed II, before acquiring his father's Assassin's Robes. In Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, it is worn during the first repressed Cristina memory. The outfit is made accessible before the Apple of Eden memories when leaving the Animus.

Desmond Miles[edit | edit source]

The Desmond Miles outfit is unlocked by attaining 100% Synchronization in Sequence 8. Purely cosmetic, this skin allows the player to look like Desmond Miles inside the Animus 2.01. The style of walking and freerunning is also that of Desmond.

Raiden[edit | edit source]

Main article: Raiden Skin

The Raiden outfit is unlocked by completing every Virtual Training challenge with at least a bronze medal. This outfit pays homage to the VR-trained cybernetic ninja called Raiden, from Metal Gear Solid. The skin of Raiden in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood is the Cyborg Ninja form of Raiden as seen in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, although it uses Ezio's facial features and hair.

Helmschmied Drachen Armor[edit | edit source]

Main article: Helmschmied Drachen Armor

The Helmshmied Drachen Armor is included with the Codex Edition, the Da Vinci Edition, Platinum and Classics Editions, and Amazon pre-order editions of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, though it can also be obtained by purchasing the Da Vinci Disappearance DLC.

  • The image of Raiden's Outfit depicts Ezio unsheathing Raiden's katana, the High Frequency Blade, although it is not available in the game.
  • The Borgia Captain armor itself, though being worn by Ezio, appears red while seen with Eagle Vision.
  • Dyeing an Auditore, Borgia, Medici or Venetian cape, caused them to be automatically removed.
  • Diving while wearing the Florentine Noble Attire will cause Ezio to have Desmond's head until he reaches the surface again.
