Ōmononushi (大物主神) is a kami in Japanese mythology. His chief place of worship is the Ōmiwa Shrine in Sakurai, Nara Prefecture.[1] In 1582, the Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke came to the shrine seeking the miko Fuyu. Fuyu believed Naoe and Yasuke to have been sent by Ōmononushi, and bade the pair to follow her to pay their respects to the kami.[2]
