Yusuf's Turkish Kijil

Yusuf's Turkish Kilij was the personal weapon of Yusuf Tazim, an Assassin who led the Ottoman Brotherhood in the early 16th century. The kilij, the deadliest sword in the Ottoman Assassins' armoury at the time, was given to the Mentor Ezio Auditore da Firenze after Ezio conducted a mission with one of his apprentices that had newly been promoted to the rank of Master Assassin.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

Yusuf's Turkish Kilij features in Assassin's Creed: Revelations as the most powerful sword in the game, but its name is misspelled "Yusuf's Turkish Kijil", an error also found with the Janissary Kijil. Kilij is a type of Turkish scimitar. The weapon is automatically acquired by the player after the completion of the Assassin apprentice mission "The Deacon, Part 1". Despite being named after supporting protagonist Yusuf Tazim, suggesting that it is a unique sword, Janissaries and Assassins on occasion can also be seen wielding it.
