Wulfram Settlement was a large Frankish town build along the River Rhine in the eastern part of the region, just on the other side of the river from Ferrières. It featured a large number of houses and was guarded by soldiers. The old stone bridge between both locations at one point collapsed, separating the two cities. In the 9th century, the Viking Vagn guided Eivor Varinsdottir and the crew of her longship Sea-Chariot to the location in order to raid it multiple times.[1]
