Wincestre Garrison

The Wincestre Garrison was an Anglo-Saxon military outpost and prison in Wincestre, Hamtunscire.

History[edit | edit source]

In 877, Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan traveled to the Wincestre Garrison, after investigating the reeve Goodwin's home and finding threats from "The Gallows." Within the garrison, she sneaked past the guards and whispered inquiries to other prisoners about Goodwin's location. Eventually, she located his cell in the inner compound of the garrison and freed him, before the two escaped the garrison and regrouped outside.[1]

During her time in Wincestre, Eivor further probed the garrison's grounds and found a chest within one of its buildings. She opened the chest and retrieved the Mentor's Trousers.[2]
