University of Salamanca

University of Salamanca is a university in Salamanca, Spain.[1]

History[edit | edit source]

Circa 1492, the Spanish Brotherhood of Assassins acquired a piece of the Shattered Staff of Eden from the Monastery of St. Lucia,[2] and sent it to their allies at the university.[1]

Diego de Alvarado, an Assassin turncoat, wanted to retrieve the piece for the Master Templar and Inquisitor General Tomás de Torquemada. Though the Assassins traveled to Salamanca to stop Alvarado, they were too late and found it overrun by soldiers. Making their way through the campus, the Assassins soon reached the library, where they found a secret chamber under the floor. Inside, they saw a wounded scholar standing beside an open chest on a pedestal. He managed to inform them of Alvarado's treachery before dying. The Assassins performed his last rites and left Salamanca to track down the turncoat.[1]
