The Trent River, or River Trent,[1] is the third-longest river in the United Kingdom which originates from Staffordshire, flowing through and draining the North Midlands that includes Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. The town of Repton is located south of the river.
In the 870s, the Viking Eivor Varinsdottir occasionally led her clan on raids via her longship along the river.[2]
