Thrall's Tunic

The Thrall's Tunic was a type of tunic usually given to slaves in Scandinavia during the Middle Ages.

Description[edit | edit source]

The tunic was made from a low-class material no signs of sewn edges, giving it a shabby appearance. The tunic also came with a simple belt.[1]

History[edit | edit source]

In 872, following her capture by Kjotve the Cruel, the Viking Eivor was made to wear the tunic before she was transported to be sold into slavery.[1]
