The Temple of Hathor at night

The Temple of Hathor was a temple complex dedicated to the worship of the Egyptian goddess Hathor in the city of Memphis. Unlike the Temple of Ptah, the temple was largely a ruin by the 1st century BCE.

In 48 BCE, the ruins were used by Hetepi, a priest and a member of the Order of the Ancients, to imprison Panchrates, the brother of the twin priestesses Taous and Tawe, to ensure the priestesses' cooperation. The Medjay Bayek of Siwa infiltrated the temple compound and rescued Panchrates after learning about him from his sisters.[1]
