Taras was a Viking warrior from the Wolf Clan.

Biography[edit | edit source]

In 870, Taras was part of the band raiding and pillaging a village on the border of Rygjafylke. The raid was interrupted by Dag Nithisson, Tora Auzoux, and the shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir, members of the Raven Clan who began defending the village. Taras fought Dag but retreated after seeing Eivor sever their fellow raider Roscoe's legs.[1]

Taras rescued Roscoe and took him to Kjotve the Cruel's longhouse at Agder. After they informed Kjotve of the death of the rest of the band and the kidnapping of Gull, Kjotve cut off Roscoe's head as Taras watched.[2]
