The Sword of Goujian (Traditional Chinese: 越王勾踐劍)[1] was forged by the blacksmiths of Wu and Yue in ancient China. Originally belonging to Goujian, the King of Yue, this bronze sword is known for its uncanny resistance to tarnish and exceptional keenness. The blade also bears two columns of bird-worm seal script text on one of its sides.[2]
In 1524, a team of Italian Assassins found and claimed this sword while they travelled with the Chinese Assassin Shao Jun through the Mekong basin in search of a renegade Assassin.[3]
In 2017, while the rogue Abstergo Industries employee Layla Hassan relived Bayek of Siwa's genetic memories using the Portable Animus HR-8.5, she installed an Animus modification that added a digital recreation of this sword to the Medjay's inventory.[4]
