Entrance to the cave

The Red Lichen Cavern was a cave north of Wincestre in Hamtunscire, so-named for the large presence of red lichen that could be found throughout the cave. It housed a tablet made of a Precursor material that depicted the legendary mantle of King Arthur.

In the 870s, the Viking Eivor Varinsdottir explored and navigated her way through the cave, recovering the tablet at the end.[1]
