Project Riese was the codename for a project ordered by members of the Templar Order within Nazi Germany and constructed by Abstergo Industries, consisting of seven underground structures connected to each other via tunnels. They were located in Lower Silesia, in modern day Poland.
The underground structures were used to house the construction of superweapons, designed with knowledge gained from the Fourth Apple of Eden. However, the superweapons did not work, and the Templars continued searching for other artifacts to complete their plan.
On 15 July 1943, the Assassins Eddie Gorm and Julia Dusk killed Templar Obbergruppenführer Gero Kramer inside Książ Castle above one of the Project Riese structures. The other Assassins led by Boris Pash subsequently seized its contents.
