The exterior of Phidias' Workshop

Phidias' Workshop was the workshop of the Athenian sculptor Phidias in the Sanctuary of Olympia in Elis, Greece.

History[edit | edit source]

During the 428 BCE Olympic Games, the Spartan misthios Kassandra visited the workshop, finding a nervous Phidias within. The sculptor asked Kassandra's help to decode a secret message.[1] Kassandra then departed to find the necessary symbols needed to decoded the message.[2]

During the time that Kassandra was searching for the symbols, Phidias was interrogated and tortured by Deimos, the Cult's enforcer, for information on the mysterious symbols. However, Deimos was unsatisfied with Phidias' constant blubbering and beat the sculptor to death.[3]
