Petarios the Scarred

Petarios the Scarred was a mercenary who operated in Greece  in 5th century BCE.

At one time, Petarios was a mercenary feared by many, but then came a day when he was seriously burned while on the job.  Ever since then, he had avoided taking jobs which related to burning things.

He crossed paths with the Spartan misthios Kassandra during the Peloponnesian War.[1]
