Nir the Whirling Blades (died c. 420s BCE) was a mercenary who operated in Greece in 5th century BCE.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Nir gained notoriety and her nickname "the Whirling Blades" for her ability to slice and shred her enemies with miminal effort. She would often bring back the heads of those she lain as proof to her contractors and then kept them as trophies.
During the Peloponnesian War, she crossed paths with the misthios Kassandra, with whom she finally met her match and was eventually slain.[1]
