The Mōdraniht Ceremonial Seax was a type of seax generally used for animal sacrifice, and was named after Mōdraniht, the Anglo-Saxon pagan festival synonymous with the Germanic pagan holiday of Yule.
During her travels, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan bought this short blade from Norvid during a Yule festival.[1]
