Myson of Chenae was a 6th century BCE philosopher.

Influence[edit | edit source]

In the 5th century BCE, a cave in the northern wilds of Malis was named after him.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

Plato counted Myson among the Seven Sages of Greece. Others in that group were Solon, Thales of Miletus, Pittacus of Mytilene, Bias of Priene, Chilon of Sparta, and either Cleobulus, Periander of Corinth, or Anacharsis the Scythian.
