The Ancient Axe

The Ancient Axe was a type of a battleaxe which was still used in the 5th century BCE Greece despite its age.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra found this weapon in the inventories of blacksmiths and looted it from bodies and chests during her travels throughout Greece.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The Ancient Axe, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, shares the same model as a number of other weapons in the same game, for example the Lone Wolf's Axe and the Paros Axe. These are all the recycled model of Divide et Impera, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Origins.
