I just discover the revolt they reference. It took place two years later but it's interesting to mention it.

Malta is a country in Europe.

History[edit | edit source]

In 1747, Grand Master of the Knights Hospitalier and Templar Manuel Pinto da Fonseca asked British Grand Master Reginald Birch for aid in his fight against the French, the Ottomans, and the Assassins that pulled their strings. The Ottomans, he claimed, sought to incite revolts among Muslim slaves in Malta.[1]

Though Fonseca's letter to Birch would go undelivered, during the Seven Years' War, the Colonial Templar Shay Cormac sent troops to bolster the Knights Hospitalier's defenses in Malta, which had been faulty since the previous' century plague[2] They were grateful, though with Malta still vulnerable, Shay sent additional troops.[3]
