Anthony John Rauch Jr. better known as John Rauch is an American comic book penciller, inker and colorist. He was the colorist for Assassin's Creed: Brahman, as well as the illustrator for the covers of the YA series, Last Descendants.

He is also notably, a colorist of the comic book series Invincible since issue #83. He has also worked on many Marvel and DC comics. He has freelanced for Marvel since 2004.

Early career[edit | edit source]

John's earliest Marvel credit was being the colorist of Patsy Walker: Hellcat #1 published in July 2008.[1] Under Image Comics, his first work was Invincible #83, published in October 2011.[2] To date he has colored 86 comics under Marvel,[1] and over 80 under Image Comics.[2]

Assassin's Creed[edit | edit source]

In 2013 he was the colorist of the Ubiworkshop original comic Assassin's Creed: Brahman, written by Karl Kerschl and Cameron Stewart. In 2014, he worked on the short film Rob Zombie's French Revolution for Assassin's Creed: Unity. Linework and inking was done by Tony Moore (MachinEyes) and Justin Kamerer (AngryBlue), while Rauch would later color in the frames to be animated.[3] In 2016 and 2017, he colored for the cover art of the Assassin's Creed: Last Descendants series with initial designing by Scott Cohn.[4][5] The illustration for the third novel of the series was assisted by Ross Hughes.[6]
