The Hunter's Lodge

The Hunter's Lodge was a rundown village located in northern Fukura Bay in Awaji, Japan.

History[edit | edit source]

In 1585, the Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke arrived at the lodge after receiving information of a man named Shiro, who knew Nowaki as a child. There, they found and talked with Shiro about Nowaki. However, their meeting was cut short when Nowaki appeared and attacked, along with her shinobi. However, the pair defeated the attackers but Nowaki managed to escape. When they spoke with Shiro again, he explained that she still lived in her old home near Kamaguchi Village and that she was rumored to visit the Sannomiya Shrine every morning.[1]

Before leaving, Naoe and Yasuke further talked with Shiro and learned about Nowaki's upbringing, including her life with her older sister and Templar Suma. After Suma's death, she later became dangerous and feral, setting up deadly traps for any visitors. She was later recruited into the Templar Order by Kimura Yukari, eventually becoming one of her taishō (大将, lit. "general").[2]
